New Year, New You Fitness Challenge

How it works: This year we will once again be having teams of two. If you do not have a partner we will do our best to find one for you. If you would like to compete on your own you may. Participants are eligible to participate in both the individual and team category. Participants do not have to be current members and there is no obligation to join the club. The team that loses the highest percent of their total combined bodyweight at the end of the six weeks wins the team category. The individual that loses the highest percent of their bodyweight at the end of the six weeks wins the individual category. The individual winner may be from the winning team. The challenge begins on January 20th and ends March 2nd. Weigh-ins will be held every other week. Participants must weigh-in in order to qualify for the prize. You may be disqualified if you or your teammate do not weigh-in. Participants must weigh-in without shoes. All contestants must complete a registration and liability form by January 22nd. Personal Trainer Fitness Challenge

I am currently writing this from 30,000 feet in the air because I just couldn’t let it wait till later! As most of you know, we had some awesome success in our “New Year, New You Weight Loss Challenge”. The 24 participants lost a total of 163 lbs in just 6 weeks!!! Due to the number of request, I decided to create something to keep you all motivated and moving forward. According to my calculations, MY official kick off to summer is 76 days away. As far as I am concerned, Memorial Day Weekend is when it is time for bathing suits and barbecue. It is also my favorite holiday because I always celebrate my birthday that weekend... the big 22 this year! (cough, cough) For those of you interested, we are going to have a 10 week challenge leading up to Memorial Day Weekend absolutely free (well, kind of). Charity Workout!!!

Don't forget about the charity workout this Saturday at 9:30a. All proceeds are going to "Toys for Tots" which is put on by the marines. Last year they collected 7.5 million toys!
