How do I schedule my workouts?
You have two options:
Option 1
Text, email, call, or chat with us while you’re in the gym.
Option 2
Go to the “Mindbody” app located here: https://get.mndbdy.ly/YVNszOzxj7
- Select or search and select “Blue Ocean Fitness”
- Select your appointment type:
- Assessment (for first time visits)
- Open gym
- Semi-Private Training
- Select ‘any staff’
- Select your day and time
Do I have to sign a contract?
- No. All of our memberships automatically renew on a weekly basis for your convenience.
- If you need to cancel your membership, we require a 14-day notice. All you have to do is email us at BlueOceanFitness@gmail.com and your membership will discontinue in 14 days.
How long is each workout?
A typical Semi Private Training session lasts about 45 minutes.
What are your hours?
We start appointments on the top of the hour.
- Monday – Thursday 5a-7p
- Friday 5a-3p
- Saturday 7-11a
How often do you recommend I workout?
That depends on your goals, current activity level and several other factors but a good general rule of thumb is about three times per week. This is something we will recommend to you based on your specific circumstances.
I haven’t worked out in years. Is this for me?
All of our programs are customized to each individual so yes, this is a great way for people to get started again.
What do I need to bring to workout?
A great attitude! We also recommend a water bottle (we have drinking fountains if you forget), athletic shoes and clothing that allows you to move around comfortably.
What if I am running late?
We get it. Life happens. If you show up late we will do our best to help you get the most out of your scheduled remaining time.
Do you have showers?
Yes! We have a single, private shower.
I will be gone for an extended period of time. Can I freeze my membership?
You have the option to either a.) make up sessions missed within 30 days or b.) freeze your membership.
A freeze of your membership requires a 14-day notice. Simply email us at BlueOceanFitness@gmail.com with the dates you will be away.
Do my sessions expire?
Unused sessions carry over for 30 days as long as your membership is active.
What if I have to miss a session?
We require a 24 hour cancellation notice. Sessions canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be lost.
How far in advance do I need to schedule my workouts?
We recommend scheduling one week in advance to help ensure your preferred times are available. Scheduling is done through the MindBody app.
What is an InBody scan? Do I need to schedule a time for my InBody scan?
This technology uses bio-impedance in order to measure water and lean body mass.
Bio-impedance works by measuring electrical resistance across your body. Muscle and lean tissue have a lower resistance to the flow of electricity, so the leaner you are, the lower you measure in terms of impedance. Water has very little resistance to electricity, while fat has a high resistance.
There is no charge to our clients for this service. We recommend testing when you first begin and every 6-12 weeks thereafter.
Yes. The test only takes 2-3 minutes but we schedule these in advance to ensure we have a coach available to assist you.
In order to get an accurate measurement, perform the test prior to working out, and at a time when you haven’t consumed any food or drinks (excluding water) for a minimum of four hours. To improve consistency and accuracy, we recommend individuals re-test around the same time of day as prior.
