Have You Heard Of Kanter’s Law?

I stumbled across something interesting recently known as “Kanter’s Law”…

It was from Harvard Business School professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter.

Her quote, which is now known as Kanter’s Law states, “in the middle, everything looks like a failure”.

If you think about it, when we’re starting something new we have hope. We’re motivated to succeed. If we didn’t believe that, we likely wouldn’t start in the first place.

When we’re completing a task or a project we’re obviously excited. We’ve finally reached a milestone and achieved something great.

But between those two places, that’s where things get challenging. That’s where doubt tends to creep up.

It’s that place where the motivation and excitement we started with has faded but the finish line isn’t quite yet within your grasps.

Fitness is a lifelong journey. You’re going to have ups and downs. If you’re struggling to stay on track or losing motivation, know that it’s perfectly normal. Most people face similar challenges and start to question if it’s worth it.

Just remember that everything looks like a failure in the middle.

Stay the course. Give it your best. And never give up.

You got this!
