The single leg step down is a great lower body strengthening exercise that will help with a ton of common activities such as going up and down stairs, hiking, playing in the backyard with your kids, etc.
How it works:
– set up on a 12 inch box
– one foot on box, one foot off the side
– keep weight in right leg and push hips back for a hinging motion
– tap foot to the back to work those glutes and hamstrings
– stand back up
You can add weight to make it more challenging, or add another box!
